What Does the Kitchen Aid Mixer Have to Offer You?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The Kitchen Aid Mixer is at the top of the stand mixer market. They are very popular because they are high quality and high performance. For whatever reason, you don't have one. Why is that? It's because you haven't yet been convinced it is what you need right now. Well, the truth is, if you spend time in your kitchen on a regular basis, you are doing yourself a disservice by not having one.

What does the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer have to offer you? Why should you buy it? First, if you need to mix, you need a mixer. If you bake a lot and do a lot of mixing, you can save yourself some aching arms by getting a standing mixer to do it all for you.

The standard mixer comes with the regular mixing paddle, a dough hook attachment, and a whisk attachment. You can stir just about anything, use the hook for cookie dough and kneading, and use the whisk to make meringue and beat eggs and other ingredients.

The Kitchen Aid also has many other added benefits that other mixers don't offer. They have many different attachments you can use with it. These attachments include pasta makers, a strainer, a grinder, a juicer, an ice cream maker, and others.

What's great about using attachments is that you don't have to buy more machines which are often more expensive and bulky than the attachments. Do you want to make your own ice cream? Just buy the ice cream bowl attachment, hook it up to your Kitchen Aid Mixer, and you are ready to make your own ice cream. You don't have to buy a big bulky machine, and you don't have to add ice because it's a freezer bowl.

What else does this great mixer have to offer? It is a top performing, high quality machine that is affordable. Most other mixers are cheaply made and will last a few years if you're lucky.

Kitchen Aid will last for a lifetime, and if something bad does happen, they have a lifetime guarantee, so you are taken care of. The initial price is higher than other mixers, but considering you won't have to keep buying a new one every few years, you will save money in the long run.

Stop dragging your feet and just buy your Kitchen Aid Mixer already. Not a day will go by that you regret buying it and you will be turning out cookies, cakes, pasta, ice cream, and more that comes out looking and tasting great. To get your kitchen aid, click the link below.

Graco AirBooster Car Seat Review

Once our little one grows out of their convertible car seat, it is time to upgrade to a booster seat. We realize just how quickly they grow up! It seems like just yesterday we were installing their infant car seat in our car. Well, now that that time has come, it is time to start searching for a good booster seat.

There are several of them to choose from on the market, but how do we know which ones are best? The best advice I can give you is to check out the reviews. I buy everything based on the reviews it's received. If parents are talking highly about a child seat you know it's a good choice. Although, if they're talking negatively, you may want to continue looking.

One seat I recommend to parents is the Graco AirBooster. This seat not only has great reviews, but it also has some great features to go along with it!

What is included?

The best thing about this seat is that it is made for children 3-10 years old! That leaves a lot of time for your child to grow and helps keep money in your wallet! It should be used on children 30-100 lbs and 38"-57" tall.

It also comes with FLEX Comfort seating & EPS foam over-molded armrests for your little one's comfort. Not to mention, it has an open-loop belt guide that easily positions vehicle seat belts, has convenient cup holders, and it even converts into a backless booster seat!

You can't go wrong with this seat due to its features. You also can't go wrong simply because it was made to meet and even exceed U.S. safety standards!

13th birthday party ideas, why? Because thirteen is a big deal. It is a milestone for kids, they become teenagers. It is the beginning of a new era in their lives. Here are some fun party ideas for a 13th birthday party.

How about a Sleepover party? Girls love to host sleep over parties, whether they are 8 or 13. so if you are trying to plan a party for your daughter, this is a good idea. Late night movies, manicures and pedicures, perhaps a fashion show, these are all good ideas for sleepover fun.

Making a scrapbook or a diary with your guests will be fun for everyone. Colorful papers, adhesive jewels, stickers, glitter and other scrapbook embellishments are perfect for this kind of party craft. Since they are being crafted at a sleepover party, why not call them dream journals.

Sleepover food ideas are simple menus. Pizza is perfect and so are lots of snacks. Let each of the girls make her own ice cream sundae.

A Pool Party is another great idea for a 13th birthday party. There are fun pool games you can play, Marco Polo, whirlpool, volleyball or pool polo. Yard games are fun too, so check out what games you have tucked away in the shed from last year. Croquette or Bocci Ball will be entertaining for everyone to play when they get out of the pool. Board and card games will also come in handy then.

Of course you can always combine a pool party with some Hawaiian birthday ideas...you know, a luau. Get the grass skirts and the leis ready. Learn the hula, have hula hoop contest or play the limbo...how low can you go.

Swim party food is another easy party menu. Turn on the barbecue grill and make burgers, hot dogs and chicken. Add some macaroni and potato salad plus some corn on the cob and your dinner plans will be complete. Then you will need some dessert. How about the perfect summertime fruit, watermelon. Order an ice cream cake for the birthday kid and your party will be complete.

How about a Mystery Dinner for your 13th birthday party ideas? Everyone loves a mystery. Plan your own or get one from a party site online. You can have each of your guests play a part in your mystery script. Play detective, plant clues, grill suspects, let your guests figure out who dun it. Have the butler serve the meal and let everyone think it was him, after all, isn't it always the butler?

One thing teens really enjoy is music. Why not host karaoke night as your 13th birthday party ideas? Get out the karaoke machine and decorate with American Idol party supplies. Use posters of your favorite Idol contestants and give everyone a contestant number. Select some kids to be judges and let us see who wins your American Idol Contest.

The Twilight Saga gave teens of all ages a new and exciting party theme. Next on the Saga list is Eclipse. The third Twilight movie is due out soon and it is going to be a big party idea. It is perfect for 13th birthday party ideas for that new teen who is a Twilight fan.

50's Decorations - Dazzling 50's

The events that would most represent the 50's would be the end of the war and the boom of the economy. The people started to party and the celebrations were brought into the works like crazy to celebrate the comeback from the Great Depression and finally that the war was over. Also in the fifties, a whole new age of specific activities such as "dancing and partying" became a whole new desire and fad. Right down to the famous poodle skirts that would swing and toss while dancing all of it was in celebrating the spirit of American Freedom. And like a lot of people, they would like to relive that glorious time. To bring it back to the fore.

If you are one of those people, here is a few helping ideas to help you with the decor you need to accomplish your party:

Jukebox, Rock and Roll Cd's (Albums), Paper Crepe Convertibles: If a jukebox is to be found, it would add the perfect mood to the room. The fifties were all about music and dancing and the jukebox had a huge roll to play in this era. Another thing to help bring back the fifties, is adding the top "rock 'n roll" songs in that jukebox. Also another good idea is on the walls, tape the top music albums that were famous in this decade. Tape famous music artist posters also. Have music records as decorations hung from the ceiling or hung on the wall. Some convertibles made out of paper crepe would be nice too, since the fifties were all about the "convertible".
Poodle Skirts: When seen on the spot, the poodle skirts will always be classified as coming from the "fifties" decade. The poodle skirt is legendary and will always be a classic clothing item for centuries to come. They have always been east to place because like the eighties hair do's, there is NO mistake about that classification. So, in coordination with your party, either have them as decorations or as a costume "must" for your guests and you.
Disco Ball: Although the Disco Ball was engineered before this time, it became a novelty at parties in the fifties and sixties. When the lights were low, you could have this ball shine such color over the entire room. It added a magnificence to the room and made the feel of the room coordinate with the specific songs that were played for dancing. If it was a slow song, it added a calmness of spirit. If it was a rock and roll song, it made the room that much more "Rock and Rollin' ". A very good addition to your party decorations.
Ice Cream Cones and Root Beer Floats: For a food and drink, of course you could have your specific entrees of your choice, but ice cream cones and some root beer floats would add some more fifty feels. And not just as a treat, but as decorations as well. Find some ice cream cone and soda float decorations to help with your decor also.

There are of course more fifties decorations, such as the dinnerware for your guests to have their food and treats on. But also, with just a little creativity, you will have more ideas for your party which will make your party exactly how you want it. Games of your choosing and other decorations would make your party unique and also make it a very memorable one for your guests. So, with all of this, you have a start of what and how to make the fifties come back again, with FULL strength.

Grief: Remember Your Loved One With a Memory Cook Book

After the death of a loved one some families make quilts from their loved one's clothes. Other families compile memory books. I did something different for my family; I made a memory cook book. After my mother-in-law died my sister-in-law and I looked through her old recipe box. Actually, there were four boxes, and the recipes inside were grouped loosely into categories.

There were hand-written recipes, lots of newspaper and magazine clippings, and many duplicates. We threw out the duplicate recipes and saved family favorites - recipes that grandchildren and great grandchildren would enjoy. Reading the recipes brought back memories of family picnics, holiday dinners, and snacks Nana prepared for her three growing boys.

I typed the recipes (one per page) and compiled them in a three-ring notebook. The title of the book: "Favorite Recipes From Nana's Recipe Boxes." For the cover I used holiday stationery with a candy cane border. Each cover had a photo of Nana on it. To protect the recipes from splatters and drips I put them in plastic notebook sleeves. There were only 25 recipes so I didn't index them. However, I did write a short introduction and it contained a story that is still clear in my mind.

Nana served Sunday dinner at 1 p.m. After one dinner she announced that supper would be cake and ice cream. I laughed because I thought Nana was kidding. But Nana, the only person I have ever known who would eat cold butter rolled in sugar, had a sweet tooth, and supper was just as advertised. We had huge bowls of French vanilla ice cream and hefty slices of yellow cake with Penuche frosting. What a memory.

Because the cook book was a glimpse of family history, I typed the recipes as Nana wrote them, including abbreviations such as "refrig" for refrigerator, and references to family members and friends. I grouped the pages into sets, put the pages in the notebooks, and tucked rubber spatulas inside. Then I wrapped the books in holiday paper and ribbon, and tied measuring spoons to each one.

So much love had gone into the cook books that I could hardly wait to give them to family members on Christmas morning. A few fancy gifts were exchanged , but my homemade gifts were the hit of the day. Family members told Nana stories as they paged through their cook books. If you are looking for a meaningful way to remember a loved one, think about compiling a memory cook book.

Your cook book will spark stories about the meals you have shared, and link the older generation with the younger. I didn't have time to put more photos in the books, but a photo on each page would make the cook book extra special. Now you are probably wondering about the recipes. My favorite recipe is the one for fudge. Though I don't make fudge, I love the ending. Here is the recipe, just as Nana wrote it so many years ago.

NANA'S FUDGE 1920

2 c. sugar

3/4 c. milk

2 sq. chocolate

1/2 t. salt

1 T. butter

1 t (teaspoon) vanilla
nuts

Mix and cook all ingredients except vanilla & nuts. When it boils up once lower the heat to a slow boil. After 5 min. begin testing for the soft ballstage (1/2 4sp. fudge in a saucer of ice water.)

When you can pick up a soft ball in 3 fingers it's ready. Cook it 1 minute more. Remove from stove and cool completely before stirring. Add vanilla and nuts and beat until it looks [like] it's glass and begins to set. Pour into a small square cake pan.

Cut when hard. (If it gets too hard add a few drops of cream at the end of beating.) Cut, enjoy. Save some for mother and dad. Be a good scout and clean up the kitchen afterwards.

Cream Mermaid Wedding Dress Sets to Debut on 2011's Wedding Arena

Wedding day is such an important day for any woman to signify her distinct beauty and thus a suitable styled wedding dress means a lot to her. A dress with fitted bodice and fishtail-like skirt would be a good option for curvy brides to flatter her sexy figure to the fullest. A mermaid wedding dress is probably most considered by women who want to show off their curves. This cut hugs the curvy body from top to bottom. A true mermaid, also known as a trumpet wedding gown, will start in a conformed sheath from shoulders to either slightly above or below the knees at which point it will flare out with a fuller skirt. Such a dramatic look is for brides who exudes confidence and also wants to be sexy on her big day. Whatever, such a dress asks for a slender body type but brides with fuller figure can also look good in this cut as long as other features are added to this style.

Mermaid dress is well-known as a nice choice to help curvy women make a sexy and dramatic appearance. If you spend some time searching online, you will easily find a myriad of color choices for this dress cut. Since mermaid wedding dress is believed to set to debut on 2011' s wedding arena, here I would recommend you the cream shades for this trendy dress cut. Then why cream but not other hues?

Cream is a shade derived from white but sets a subtly different mood for the wedding dress. It is an ideal color choice for brides who want to go a little different way from a traditional wedding. For me, cream shades are reminiscent of the sweet flavor and happy aura of eating an ice cream. Rich in tasteful touch, cream shades would probably means more to you. A cream dress always looks charming and sets a lot of enchanting flavor to its presentation.

When cream cascades its specific charming lights on a mermaid wedding dress, a royal yet affectionate style would be expressed in a really eye-catching way to create a 'wow' effect when you march down the aisle. To be a fashion-forward bride, you can also introduce some vibrant hues to spice up this magic trumpet gown in sweet cream shades. However, bear in mind, these gowns in mermaid cut are definitely for confident brides. So walk your way with head held high in a cream mermaid wedding dress and enjoy your impressive wedding day!

Earn Income the Cool Way, With an Ice Cream Cart

Image : http://www.flickr.com

In today's tough economic climate people are becoming more creative when it comes to ways to generate extra income. One often overlooked method for earning a new income or some extra money is by operating an ice cream cart.

Everyone loves ice cream. If you have your ice cream cart in a populated area downtown or near an arts festival you will be amazed by the amount of sales and revenue that can be earned.

Events to target can range from dozens of people to thousands. Profitable event ideas to target for catering with your frozen dessert cart can include corporate parties, birthday parties, art or music festivals, or even just a popular street corner. The beauty of a portable, push ice cream cart is that it can be used indoors or outdoors so the potential for catering events is huge.

Many successful frozen dessert cart operators thrive by partnering with an organization. Approaching a park, a country club, a golf course, or even a baseball diamond about catering their events can be profitable to both of you. You can agree to give the organization a fixed percentage of your sales and in return can have the opportunity to sell your product to a potentially very profitable market.

Getting started in this new business is easy. The first thing that you need to do is to choose the right ice cream cart. There are many companies to choose from but you will want to make sure that they are experienced and that they stand behind their product.

The second thing that you will need to do is obtain the right permits from the department of health. You should be able to easily print out all necessary specifications and drawings of your cart from the manufacturer. Bringing these documents in with you will save you a lot of time and headaches.

So if you are looking for a new income opportunity, why not consider entering the catering business by operating a potentially highly profitable ice cream cart?

Three Reasons to Wear a Fleece Jacket This Winter

When it comes to choosing a winter jacket, there are many styles and material choices available, including leather, fleece, wool, cashmere, and cotton. Each of these styles has its own set of unique advantages and disadvantages. Fleece is one of the most popular materials for jackets, and with good reason; fleece offers the following benefits over other materials:

Lightweight - Fleece was originally created to serve as a synthetic alternative to wool, and was designed specifically to be superior to it in some aspects, including weight. Fleece is significantly lighter than its wool counterpart. Additionally, it is generally considered to be less "itchy" than wool which can results in less discomfort, especially on long hiking trips.

Waterproof - Fleece typically holds less than 1% of its weight in water. This advantage becomes especially apparent when compared with a material like cotton that is known for holding water, and it becomes especially relevant for applications that involve being out in the snow (skiing, snowboarding, winter hiking, mountain climbing, etc.), or for other activities that require a high level of physical exertion such as running and jogging.

Style - This type of jacket is available in a wide variety of styles and colors, with various insulation options. There are thick styles, thin styles, with a hood, without a hood, button-up, zippered, logos, embroidery, and just about every color combination you can think of. One of the most common styles is for ski jackets; fleece's unique combination of characteristics, including being lightweight and waterproof, makes it a very good choice for skiing.

Perfume For the Mature Woman

While every perfume smells differently on every person, there are certain scents that are more complementary to younger and older wearers. For example, extremely fruity smells tend to be better suited to young girls. Some perfume manufacturers will even target girls as young as twelve with their fruity and floral scents. On the other hand, scents that are more complicated and have musky bases with sexy scents like jasmine and roses are meant to be worn by more mature women.

Many women pick a scent early in their life and tend to stick with it throughout. However, as the choices for perfume have gotten more and more diverse, it is possible to choose different scents for different stages in your life as well as different season of the year. If you have been wearing the same scent or group of scents since high school, maybe it is time to try to find something that reflects the mature woman you have become. Just like you did when you were searching for your first scent, you need to go to the store with no perfume or cologne on and try one perfume at a time until you find ones that complement your body chemistry in a favorable way.

One thing to look for in a mature scent is complexity. The better perfume house spend a lot of time and money doing research to find out what scents complement each other and blend well so that you can have an interesting and complicated perfume. There will be three distinct notes with each note having a number of scents. The top note will usually last a bit longer than it does with inexpensive perfumes as will each subsequent note. Because of the longevity, make sure that you give your body adequate time to react to each scent and smell it throughout the day and not just in the first hour after you have it on.

Certain scents are used more often in mature perfumes such as musk and jasmine. You will also find ingredients that are more unusual in the better perfumes such as tobacco, Tonka bean, green tea, ginger and bergamot. Of course, the better the perfume the more you will have to pay for it. However, as we get older and wiser we should be able to splurge for something nice for ourselves occasionally.

Cowtown USA

This museum and live exhibit contains an old time creamery where patrons participate in preparing a cow for milking, milking by hand or machine, pasteurizing for a finished product. Through their bi-lingual demonstrations they show that agriculture has no barriers. Kids get hands-on experiences with the process of making butter and ice cream using historic tools and machines in these processes, and they learn the concept of "Home Made" just the way Grandma used to do it!

How to Be a Good Pirate

I always wondered what it would be like to live in Cornwall in the fourteenth or fifteenth centuries. The craggy landscape and the sparsely populated villages must have been the perfect setting for conspiracy and piracy. It can't have had quite the romanticised feel as it does today; in fact I am sure that the adventures of the gypsies of the high seas resembled less the film Pirates of the Caribbean and more Pentonville prison on a boat.

Nevertheless piracy in those days must have been a rather exciting affair. The world was a much bigger place than it is now and the sea was a fantastic escape for those who couldn't or wouldn't live an honest living. A free for all watery adventure with the risk of shipwreck and fighting to the death...more extreme thievery than burglars today could even imagine.

I can only guess what the Cornwall and Devon tourist information of the day would advise the holiday-makers visiting from the cities. "Wear neutral colours, leave jewellery at home and look out for men with wooden legs and/or pet parrots." Maybe holidaymakers planned their Cornwall holiday around searching for loot instead of surf life-saving; and grog may have been the drink of choice as opposed to ale.

Actually, I'm quite surprised that the tourism businesses haven't made more of a push towards offering pirate themed holidays today. Grog 'n' Rum bars seem like a great idea - with a free shot for anyone who arrives in fancy dress. Loot finding Coasteering trips seem feasible too - at least for the more adventurous - where teams can battle it out for some impressive bounty and the losers can walk the plank!

And why no pirate themed hotel? What about a fabulous Cornish version of Alton Towers complete with a pirate ship rapids ride and Davey Jones ghost house.

Ok, Cornwall may not have the most expensive and exciting attractions or even any real life pirates but maybe that's the charm. You can still imagine ladies in frilly long dresses walking arm in arm with gentlemen down the pretty little streets of St Ives or fisherman with their hand thrown nets bustling around Mevagissey. Cornwall has been largely unchanged compared to the rest of England in landscape and peoples attitudes. Not ruined by gigantic theme parks or shopping malls that seem to scar the rest of the national landscape.

A Cornwall holiday is an escape from city life. There is no pressure to shop or spend obscene amounts of money on expensive attractions. The best things to do in Cornwall don't cost money, which is if you discount the wonderful cream teas that are served in beachside cafes all over the county!

I have concluded that I am probably much luckier to live in Cornwall today instead of in the dark days when Pirates roamed the coast. There is no chance of me being hit over the head with a bottle of rum and dragged away never to see land again as long as I live. Instead I can relax by the waves with a scone and a cup of tea and watch my kids make sand castles, or I can enjoy strolling round the lost gardens of Heligan with my wife and walk the coastal path with a delicious picnic in tow.

Home Ice Cream Machines

There are a variety of reasons why people choose to purchase home ice cream machines. With summer right around the corner, there couldn't be a better time to own one. You can find one at just about any place that sells kitchen appliances. Places such as Wal-Mart, Target, K-mart, and Sears are just a few of the best places to shop when looking for discount prices.

Have you ever thought about how much you spend on your favorite creamy dessert at the grocery store? Most brands cost between $5.00 and $7.00 per half gallon. The majority of home ice cream machines cost between $40.00 and $60.00. Considering that most families purchase ice cream on a regular basis, the savings are definitely worth it. Not to mention, homemade always tastes better to most people. You also don't have to worry about all of the extra chemicals and preservatives that most other manufactured brands contain.

One of the greatest things about home ice cream machines is the variety available. There isn't just one particular type. There is the Hamilton Beach 1 1/2 Quart Maker that makes your favorite icy treat within 20-40 minutes. All you have to do is add the ingredients and like magic, your cold treat is ready in a jiffy. If you'd rather take a more old-fashioned approach, then there is the White Mountain 6-quart Hand-Crank machine. With this machine, you get a lot more the old-fashioned way by using a hand crank. The biggest convenience to this particular machine is that you get to choose the texture you want. For creamier icy treat, simply churn a bit more.

Another one of the home machines available is the Play & Freeze 1-Pint Ice Cream Maker Ball. This machine allows you to make 1-quart of your favorite flavor within 30 minutes. It's also portable, meaning that you can take it anywhere with you. It only weighs 3 pounds, making it the perfect addition for picnicking, camping, and road trips.

If you want more, you might find that you like the Deni Automatic Ice Cream Maker with Candy Crusher. This machine requires no ice or salt, and is automatic, so it's hassle-free. What makes this machine so unique is that it crushes up pieces of candy into your favorite flavor, and it's also very affordable.

Sure, you can always purchase your favorite brand at the store or in a restaurant, but what could be better than making your own icy treat at home? Anything homemade is always better, and cheaper.

How To Choose A Pen That Meets All Of Your Requirements - Top Tips

Below we look at top tips to make sure you choose a pen that is perfect for you.

Choose Your Brand - Like many things in life, once you are happy with a particular product or brand you rarely leave it for something else and even if you do try something different due it being cheaper or new, you normally end back with the trusted brand at some point in your consumer life. There are many brands of pen, including Parker, Pilot, Waterman and Cross, so if you are used to a brand that you like, it can be wise to stick with it.

Choose Your Type - A pen is not just a pen; you need to choose the type of pen you like, whether it is a fountain pen, roller ball pen or ball point pen, all of which offer different writing experiences. Take a fountain pen for example, the ink generally takes seconds to dry and will not be instant, which does not suit everyone's needs, so it is important to make sure that you are happy with the type of pen before you buy one.

Set Your Budget - Quality pens do not have to cost a lot of money, but the more you pay the better the product name usually is, as like many things, you do often pay for the brand rather than the item. You can buy a good quality pen for around £50, but if you can stretch your budget a little further you will normally end up getting something very special for your collection for your day to day writing experience.

Read Reviews - The Internet has made finding a reliable product so much easier; you can find something you are interested in and quickly find the reviews and reports back on what consumers like you really think of the product. Most of the bigger websites offer unbiased reviews, meaning that you can trust what these people are saying and use their comments to reflect your buying decision.

Ask Around - Ask your friends, family, colleagues and even people on the train and also try to see what they are using. If you set yourself on any train you will normally see business men and women writing away, even with the rise in laptops and smart phones, just be nosy!

Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker Recipes - Bring Back Those Great Memories

Homemade ice cream has never tasted better than with the scrumptious results of the Cuisinart ice cream maker recipes. You can choose from so many flavors from the typically sweet vanilla to the unusually delicious tropical fruits that considering store-bought ice cream with their ho-hum flavors will never be in your plans again.

But getting your ice-cream fix at anytime of the day is not the only benefit to owning a Cuisinart ice-cream maker and its recipes. Because the ingredients used are all fresh and, hopefully, organic in nature, you will also be able to enjoy fresh, organic and healthy ice-cream. Preservatives, additives and other potentially unhealthy ingredients will not be in your homemade ice-cream as the basic ingredients consist of just milk, cream, cornstarch, sweeteners, fruits or vegetables, and natural flavorings.

Also, the Cuisinart ice-cream maker recipes are easy to follow with the basic instructions being to mix the wet and dry ingredients, whisk it for a while and then pour into the ice cream maker. You have to wait for 20-25 minutes to achieve the desired consistency although you have a choice to either serve the ice-cream immediately or to freeze it for a few hours in the refrigerator. We prefer freezing the ice cream especially on hot days but when in winter, straight-out-of-the-machine ice cream is just as good for the palate.

Well, of course, it is not only the Cuisinart ice-cream machine that you will need to make delicious homemade ice cream. You also have to use a bowl, whisk and handheld mixer for mixing the ingredients as well as containers to store the ice-cream in, if you want to freeze it afterwards. Since these additional pieces of equipment are already in the kitchen, you can use the money to purchase the ingredients instead.

Just to outline in greater detail the common instructions for ice-cream machine recipes:

Assemble the ice cream maker. If it is your first time using the machine, be sure to wash and rinse the bowl, mixing arm and lid while the base should be wiped clean using a damp sponge.
Freeze the bowl. You just warp the bowl either in a plastic wrap or a freezer bag and then place it inside the freezer for 6 to 24 hours depending on the specific unit. To be always ready for ice cream time, just store the bowl in the freezer when not in use.
Combine the ingredients. Look at the recipes, determine what needs to be used and then assemble them. Mix the ingredients according to the specific amounts and order, pour the mixture into the ice-cream maker and then turn on the machine.
Wait for 20-25 minutes. It should be ready by then.

You can download many Cuisinart ice-cream maker recipes from the Internet as well as from the official website. Of course, we encourage experimentation with the ingredients to come up with your own unique version of heaven on Earth through deliciously icy, creamy and smooth goodness in a cone or a cup.

[MMD] Jackson 5 - Dancing Machine + (Download Links!)

Len shows off his smooth and sleek dance. KAITO gets jealous here. =P Found a rare gem for the Jackson 5's MMD motion data. This motion data is said to be okay for redistribution by the owner. I've tweaked/fine tuned the motion data so it is more smoother than the original. The original motions assigned to different models may show differently than intended (such as clapping). I also added as many of the Vocaloid cast in the video as I could, without it crashing/lagging. I had to take out Luka and Chibi Miku. =( For the time that I worked on this project, my goal was to have the star (Len in this video) sing the lyrics. (The original motion data does not have singing.) Then, I just added facial expressions/motions to the rest of the Vocaloids. See if you can spot all the small subtleties. =) Thanks to Necropolia for converting the motion data from a .pmm file! Please see her video and description for a fix to a small problem with the motion data. www.youtube.com Hope you enjoy this video. This is for you Michael! Making Ice Cream Cones With Pizzelle Makers

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Pizzelles are a tasty Italian treat usually made from flour, sugar, and eggs. Most people will recognize them from family traditions around the holidays or from the outside of a cannoli. (Cannolis have a pizzelle on the outside and are rolled with a cream on the inside.) But, one of the best ways to eat a pizzelle is to have it as an ice cream cone.

To make a pizzelle cone you must first make a pizzelle. Pizzelles can be made on a pizzelle iron or pizzelle maker. Most pizzelle makers are electric and very simple to use. You make the dough, as shown in the recipe that follows, then you put some of the batter on the pizzelle maker. Next, you should close the top of the pizzelle maker down on the dough, and wait for approximately one minute. Once the pizzelle stops steaming, you can open the maker and your pizzelle is done. If you've ever made waffles in a waffle maker, you will find making a pizzelle to be very simple.

To make the pizzelle into a cone you must do the following:

Immediately after the pizzelle comes off the pizzelle maker: use a pizzelle cone roller to roller the pizzelle into an cream cone shape. Then pinch the seem together. (Warning, the pizzelle cone will be hot.)

Let the ice cream cone cool on a cooling rack. Let harden. Once it's hard you will be able to put ice cream in the pizzelle and have your very own ice cream cone.

Here's one of the best recipes I've found for making pizzelles into ice cream cones: (Makes 3-6 cones)

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 egg whites

3/4 cups confectioners sugar

1/8 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. vanilla

Step 1: Melt butter and place aside and cool.

Step 2: Beat egg whites until stiff.

Step 3: Into egg whites, fold in confectioners sugar, salt and vanilla. Then fold in flour.

Step 4: Fold cooled butter into mixture.

Step 5: Preheat pizzelle maker: Place 1/4 cup of mixture into maker.

Step 6: When done cooking, roll into ice cream cone.

In these easy 6 steps you can have your own homemade ice cream cone made with a pizzelle maker.

Satellite TV's Best Four, Foul-Mouthed Fourth Graders

It started out as simply a short, choppy animation, something that creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone put together in order to mock the true meaning of the holiday season: materialism and presents. From there, the stop motion animation of Jesus Christ fighting Santa Claus in front of four, foul-mouthed kids and a piece of talking feces became one of the first viral videos, entitled the "Spirit of Christmas," and it traveled throughout the Net and in and out of people's email inboxes. Eventually, it landed in the hands of a Comedy Central executive, who commissioned the duo to turn the short animation into a full-fledged series. Thus, "South Park" was born.

Premiering on cable and satellite TV in 1997, "Cartman gets an anal probe" was the first introduction that the Comedy Central audience had to the newest animated show. Before the premiere, the only hit animated show around was "The Simpsons," which although had a lot of adult references, was still considered a family oriented cartoon. "South Park," as viewers quickly learned after witnessing all the cussing, fighting and vomit spewing of the first episode, was anything but a family show.

Taking place in the small town of South Park, Colorado, the show follows the incredible day-to-day adventures of four, foul-mouthed fourth graders: Kyle, Stan, Kenny and Cartman. Granted, the show started out with all of the kids in third grade, but a lot has changed in the 13 years since the original episode premiered, i.e. Kenny does not die at the end of every episode as he did for the first couple of seasons.

Originally the show covered very original and topical issues, such as growing up playing school sports: football and dodge ball are highlighted, or Barbara Streisand trying to take over the world. But in the last years the show has begun to focus more on highly controversial, culturally related dilemmas. For example, one episode directly mocks Steven Spielberg and George Lucas for constantly re-releasing their old films with new, high definition technology. Another goes after the anti-smoking campaigns, trying to show that although smoking is bad, it is an individual's choice if they want to smoke cigarette or not. One episode pokes fun at reality television by going so far as to claim that Earth, in its entirety, is merely a reality program, broadcasted throughout the universe to all other alien species (of course, this information is relayed by a giant, talking taco that poops ice cream every step it takes.)

And with a new season premiering on March 17 on cable and satellite TV, anything goes with regards to what America's favorite foul-mouthed fourth graders will do. Whether it is a topical episode or a politically based one, it can be safe to say that all of the F-bombs, all of the blood and all of the shenanigans that is "South Park" will entertain the countless fans that plop themselves down in front of their HD televisions every Wednesday night to catch all of the action. Besides, with a slew of Emmy nominations and a successful movie, one that gained an Oscar nomination for best original song, Trey Parker and Matt Stone must be doing something right.

Ice Cream in a Jiffy With Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker

Home made ice cream in 20 minutes? Why not? With Cuisinart Maker, you and your kids can enjoy gelatos, yogurts and ice cream without taking a trip down the ice cream parlor. This easy to assemble counter top maker has a heavy duty motor that makes it in 20 - 30 minutes.

The best part about the Cuisinart Maker is that you do not need salt and ice. And, it is so easy to use, even a six year old can operate it (under parent supervision, of course). Pop in the chilling chamber in the freezer until the liquid between the walls is frozen. This will take about 8-24 hours. After that, place the chilling chamber on top of the power base. Then place the paddle into the chamber. Lock in the lid and turn on the machine. Add in the ingredients and set it to your decided consistency. Nuts, chocolate chips and chopped fruits can be added 5 minutes before it is done.

Cleaning your Cuisinart is also easy. Just wash the chilling chamber and the non stick paddle in warm soapy water before popping the chilling chamber back in the freezer for future use. This Cuisinart maker can make up to 1.5 quarts of ice cream, frozen yogurt and gelato so you can create your very own non-fat low calorie ice creams in a jiffy. In addition, you can also make tropical frozen drinks with the Cuisinart Maker. Just follow the tips and instructions as stated in the manual.
