Starting a Maid-Cleaning Service

A house cleaning business may not sound to exciting but it could be very good money maker, let's face it how many people really do like there job not a lot, but if it is your own business it is a completely different ball game, if you work on it and you are good at what you doing you can grow it big enough to eventually hire some employees to do the work for you. I guess the sky is the limit.

How much money you can actually make is really up to you on how big you want to grow your business and how much time you are willing to put in, just like any other business. If you just want to make a little extra on the side just take on a couple of clients for pocket money or if you want to make a lot then you really have to work it and put a lot of time in, in the beginning.

One of the hardest parts to start will be to build your clientele but believe me once you have a few clients that love you it will be booming from there because there is no advertising like word of mouth. What is it you need to start well cleaning supplies, a mop, vacuum, and of course a reliable vehicle to transport everything. How much can you charge? Look around in your area, call a few cleaning services to compare pricing, you want to be compatible but you don't want to under charge either, because it is hard work and of course you will give your clients the best service possible.

When you first start let all your friends and family know that you are starting a business make up some business card for them to hand out to people they know and before you know it your new business will be of the ground. You will need to get bonded and fully insured check with your insurance agent, also you need to check with your city about what kind of license you will need and make sure you are zoned correctly for this kind of business. There are counselors you can talk to about starting a business and they will steer you in the right direction and let you know everything you need to know about how to start a small home business
